Australia is not afraid to point out the obvious

As we finished out this week talking about media bias, let's take a look at how one of our allies sees us and compare it to what our liberal-biased media shows.

These cartoons from Australia clearly illustrate what most of us already know but what no left-leaning individual will usually admit.

It is nice to see one of our Allies point out the obvious since our liberal biased media suppresses most of this.

The truth can be very humorous and sad all at the same time.

We are in for a very bad 4 years if Obama gets elected. The bright side (if there is one) will be that it should be a landslide victory for republicans in 4 years if this happens!

"We are in for a very bad 4 years if Obama gets elected."
And exactly what would you say the last 8 years have been?
A massive economic meltdown, tens of thousands of families losing their homes, jobless rates climbing every single day.
4186 American men and women lost in Iraq (and we went there to stop the WMD's that turned out were not there), $661B and counting spent on that theater, that $661 Billion with a B.
Over 1000 lost in Afghanistan hunting for Bin Laden who is more than likely living the good life in Pakistan. Afghanistan to date has cost our economy $177.5B...
More on the homefront:
Estimates of between 9-20 million illegal immigrants, in texas alone $1.3 billion has been spent on indigent medical care for illegal immigrants.
Under the new rules passed by this administration, our personal phone calls are subject to screening, our troops over seas personal phone calls home to their loved ones have been listened to, recorded and made fun of (remember these are the men and women who are dying for the failed policies of this republican administration)
Shall we move on to international relations? They are worse than they had been in half a century, and progress made with Russia is all but gone, countries who were once strong allies are now distancing themselves from us.
With W's pre-emptive strike against Iraq (based on lies) we have set the stage for other countries to do the same, IE Georgia.
Yeah, I would hate to think of what the next foru years would be like if a person who is willing to actually open dialog instead of gun fire with nations we have problems with will be like...

Ah, but Chris, the last eight years have been nearly perfect for those seeking the ideological purity of subjective "values" over real-world results. Whether this is because they actively seek an Apocalypse to prove their beliefs, or simply harbor a strange Ayatollah envy, is beyond my limited ability to fathom.

As for today's "humor," I suppose that if one believes in a liberal bias in media in America, the implication is that bias might creep in to any media coverage worldwide (no one here has yet to explain why FOX isn't conservative bias, but I digress).

Consequently, we'd have to know which newspapers the foreign cartoons originated so we could ask people there whether there is a bias. Their answers probably would be yes -- depending on their own pre-determined perspective ... which is why such discussions tend to result in "proof" of whatever the soap box thumper believed to begin with.

Wanna bet there'll be no GOP landlside next time out?

This is disturbing. Goes hand in hand with every interview I have seen of Obama. He does not answer questions directly. He the master of dancing around the answer as to not reveal his true feelings. I have zero trust in this man!

The financial crisis would never have occured if the democrats would not have been the biggest part of the problem.

Look at yesterdays blog.

There is blame all around but the dems never take responsibilty

Obama's lack of experience is extremely scary.

The last 8 years have been SAFE.

That is the presidents primary responsibility.

What was Biden mouthing off about?

Why has the media not been all over his comments?

Illegal immigration, healthcare and the financial problems are a bipartisan congressional problem.

As far as international relations, we are still the country most immigrants want to come to. I think that pretty much sums up how people feel about us.

AMEN anonymous.

We have been safe.

We have a congressional problem more than a presidential problem.

The balance works well for the most part but Obama along with a democratic majortity is a scary thought.

I'll be voting for a republican president for the first time in my adult life.

We do not know enough about Obama and his associations are worrisome. All voters, but especially black voters need to be better informed. Too many of my friends are voting for Obama just because he is the first black candidate and they know nothing of his policies or controversies.

Voting for or against race is never the appropriate reason for casting a vote in any election; but sadly it occurs on both sides.

The economies worldwide are in turmoil. I guess that's Bush's fault as well. Too many bad decisions by individuals and banks and investors. Lack of personal accountability is the problem.

Where are the headlines related to the McCain worker who was robbed and mamed by an Obama Supporter. Where is the outrage?

It certainly would have been front page news if an Obama worker was attacked by a McCain supporter

"we have been safe."

Please follow this link and read the 264 pages that list every single name of every single United States Soldier who has died in Bush's "war on Terror".
When you have finished reading the 4009 names, call there families and ask them if the feel safe with out their fathers, mothers, sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, friends and lovers. Ask them how safe they feel.
Do you honestly think that the actions of Georgie boy has made this country safer? I hardly think so, we have created more enemies of the United States than we have eliminated.
Every family member, every friend of the casualties on the other side of the issue are against us now.
And by the way, I do not consider myself either a democrat nor a republican, I vote for the person, not the party.

Man!! Will I ever be glad when this election is over and HB can return to less polarizing topics such as "creationism" and salvation for only true believers (of his brand of true belief, of course.)

For christopher d,

we honor all our fallen service men and women for their sacrifice and keeping us safe.

We also honor the ~3000 that died in the twin towers.

It is this type of terrorism and radical ideology that GW has protected us from in the past 7 years.

THANK GOD FOR GEORGE BUSH!!

We honor the 3000+ dead in the world trade centers by entering a war in Iraq, that before the war had no ties to Al Queda? Had no WMD's as promised by Georgie Boy?

Tell me please, how does one honor the victims of cowardous terrorist attacks by starting a war in a country that had nothing to do with the attacks?

We continue to kiss Pakistans Arse, when that country is harboring the master-mind behind the attacks on the WTC, Pentegon, etc.

These policies have failed, and these policies have left our servicemen and women with out the proper equipment, and tools to fight and live, we are in a quagmire, with no real way out.
His policies has made what was once a bad enough country into a total blood bath, for our troops as well as the citizens of Iraq.
Before they just had to worry about Saddam and his family, now they have to worry about every nut case who hates America, they are pouring in from Iran, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Syria, Lebenon etc...

Yes we honor our fallen, yes we greive over their losses, we respect and honor our Soldiers, but we should be doing so by seeking peace, not by creating more enemies over failed foreign policies.
George and Co. had their chance after 9/11 to do the right thing, and point blank he blew it. It was more important to take care of a family vendetta than it was to seek out the true perpetrators and bring them to justice.
We have Chinese citizens sitting in Gitmo who have absolutely nothing to do with Al-Queda, but who spoke out against oppression in China, and we have kept them in prison with out charges, with out benefit of trials...

Yes, in deed, God is thankful for George W. He keeps heaven packed with fresh souls...

Chew on this:
There has been an estimated 1,245,000 civilian deaths worldwide as direct result of the "war on terror".
These people had names, these names are carved on the soul of George W. Bush.

I did think the Ed Kennedy joke was amusing, as it was rather cerebral and not simply vicious.

By the way, while we're all laughing, if you didnt see the SNL parody of the "Bush Endorsement" of McCain, it was very amusing, regardless of party affiliation...

You can watch it at:

One point I think everyone misses is that a high percentage of people elected to government positions are lawyers. Lawyers are trained to argue, thus that's all they do, thus nothing gets done.
