Good news for the Male slugs

Very good news guys. There is now scientific evidence to support being lazy couch potatoes while the women work. A new report out by German cancer researchers finds that doing regular housework significantly reduces breast cancer risk and especially in younger women.

The study is published in the journal Cancer Epidemiology Biomarkers & Prevention. The study shows that pre-menopausal women who performed regular housework reduced their risk of breast cancer by about 30 percent and post-menopausal women by 20 percent.

The goal of the study was to try and determine a link between exercise and breast cancer. This link was found and attributed it to the regularity of doing housework compared with the irregular exercise routines. We all know exercise is not done regularly for the average American.
I guess the women will want a study looking for a link between prostate cancer and the regularity of remote control use by men watching TV.

What does this have to do with slugs?

Slugs are gross.

Are we to assume by this that HB doesn't feel men do housework, or get breast cancer?

Maybe he thinks male slugs don't get breast cancer OR do housework.

You would fit in well with the CEO and his administration.

Making assumptions is why we are in this mess.

The facts don't matter to you or them.

If you would notice, HB usually has some fun or humorous topic posted almost every friday for the past several months.

Your hatred cannot even allow you to hold criticism of him on these topics.

You are sad, hateful people.

Easy with the generalities there, tiger. I won't speak for the others, but the first comment was mine. Slugs ARE gross. That doesn't have anything to do with HB. I was making what is commonly referred to as a "play on words," or a "pun." It was neither a judgment nor a criticism, whereas "You are sad, hateful people" is both. I guess you assumed that all comments were malicious before responding? Ironic...

A more serious comment on the study in question--I'm curious how many other factors were taken into consideration in this study, like household cleaning products, posture, brand of sneakers worn, or other seemingly unrelated “carcinogens.” Researchers find coincidences all the time and claim cause/effect relationships when one really has nothing to do with the other. I think we’ve been over this recently.

Incidentally, a good deal of social research suggests that shared household responsibility is one of the primary predictors of marriage satisfaction. I wonder what the divorce rate is among slugs?
