No Apologies

In varying places around Europe lie thousands of Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

They are buried, row upon row, under simple white crosses or Stars of David in cemeteries in Belgium, England, France, Luxembourg, Italy and the Netherlands.

They died far from home in battles and operations known as Belleau Wood, the Somme, the Meuse-Argonne Offensive in World War I, or D-Day, Anzio and the Battle of the Bulge in World War II.

As the living memories of these battles fade, these cemeteries are what’s left to remind us of their sacrifice.

More than 100,000 soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines are buried in these cemeteries, looked after by the American Battle Monument Commission.

It is frustrating and disheartening to hear our President and the Democratic leadership apologize for the role Americans have played in shaping history.

Here is a list of our European arrogance in alphabetical order:

1. The American Cemetery at Maine-marine, France. A total of 2289 of our military dead.

2. The American Cemetery at Ardennes, Belgium. A total of 5329 of our dead.

3. The American Cemetery at Brittany, France. A total of 4410 of our military dead. Excuse us.

4. Brookwood, England American Cemetery. A total of 468 of our dead.

5. Cambridge, England. 3812 of our military dead.

6. Epinal, France American Cemetery. A total of 5525 of our Military dead.

7. Flanders Field, Belgium. A total of 368 of our military.

8. Florence, Italy. A total of 4402 of our military dead.

9. Henri-Chapelle, Belgium. A total of 7992 of our military dead.

10. Lorraine, France. A total of 10,489 of our military dead.

11. Luxembourg, Luxembourg. A total of 5076 of our military dead.

12. Meuse-Argonne. A total of 14246 of our military dead..

13. Netherlands, Netherlands. A total of 8301 of our military dead..

14. Normandy, France. A total of 9387 of our military dead.

15. Oise-Aisne, France.. A total of 6012 of our military dead.

16. Rhone, France. A total of 861 of our military dead.

17. Sicily, Italy. A total of 7861 of our military dead.

18. Somme, France. A total of 1844 of our military dead.

19. St. Mihiel, France. A total of 4153 of our military dead.

20. Suresnes, France. A total of 1541 of our military dead.

We should apologize to no one. What we should do is remind those of our sacrifice and don't confuse arrogance with leadership.

The count is 104,366 dead.

Disappointment cannot begin to describe the feelings when we watch an American elected leader apologize to Europe and the Middle East that our country is "arrogant"!

We really should ask this question: How many French, Dutch, Italians, Belgians and Brits are buried on our soil, defending us against our enemies?

AMERICANS DON'T ASK FOR PRAISE ... BUT WE HAVE ABSOULUTELY NO NEED TO APOLOGIZE!!

On the day of the Ft. Hood shooting President Obama made yet another apology speech to other nations, to the tribal nations conference.
What a disgrace!

What do you call it when one's actions and words make the case against the position he or she is advancing?

It was right there on the tip of my tongue, but I can't think of it. I apologize.

Lots of walls to be torn down and battles to be won closer to home. Saturday's vote was a step forward in realizing the principles and dreams of so many who died in their defense.

As pointed out by Timothy Garton Ash, they're not without lingering problems but the world owes central and eastern Europeans a debt for providing another example of how collective, non-violent action and negotiation can be as successful, if not more so, than the tit for tat barbarism that we've so often used to define heroism.

To use the stories, lives and deaths of over one hundred thousand American dead laid to rest forever away from their homes and families, buried in the ground where they fought, bled and died, to take that honor, that bravery, that answering the call not only for our country, but for the world, and to turn that into anti-Obama rhetoric has cheapened the deaths of all of those men and women.

How can you sit there are even contemplate " How can can I use our fallen soldiers, the heroes of a generation, to make a swipe at the democratic party and the President?"

Dear, dear doctor, though I respect you as a physician, and though I respected you for standing your ground, this, in my humble opinion was flat out disgusting, selfish, disrespectful, and dishonorable.

These men, and women, Fathers, sons, brothers, husbands, had nothing, NOTHING to do with the assanine crybaby politics of America today, to use them as such is unforgivably shameful.

it has everything to do with the decay of our culture and the lack of respect for the military that has continued to fight for the freedoms you take for granted. Obama and radical lefties like NAC and bluegill just highlight the premise. It is you who cheapen these brave men and women and their ultiimate sacrifice.

Yes, it is ironic how everytime HB has a posting pointing out the tremendous flaws with the liberals, they never address the posting but always attack HB.

SAD, VERY SAD

"It is you who cheapen these brave men and women and their ultiimate sacrifice."

I have NEVER, not ONCE USED the death of soldier as an opening for a political diatribe.

To even suggest so is a flat out lie, anonymous.

I hold nothing in any higher regard that the men and women who sacrificed their lives in defense of our country and our allies.

So point your fingers elsewhere, adn please feel free to continue to use everything as nothing more than a pawn in your agenda to encourage hatred, elitism, discrimination, and intolerance.

By the way, I dont take any freedom for granted. Everyday that I DONT get to speak with my father or see him is a reminder of the price that is paid for freedom for not only our soldiers, but their families.
