Riddle of the Day

Hillary, Biden and Obama were on a donkey, at the edge of a cliff. The donkey got spooked and jumped off the cliff.

Who was saved?

This is typical conservative humor with a strong and factual message. Dictator BHO and his regime pose a greater threat to the freedoms that this country has enjoyed for 233 years than was posed by Communism during the Cold War. During the Cold War, we could build Fall Out shelters as a defense. The only defense we have now is to strongly support the Republican party and vote the Libs out in 2010. I pray every day that this occurs. May the Lord continue to bless this great nation, UNDER GOD, with liberty and justice for all.

I have a good one, too. It's also strong and factual, based on the last time I visited my MD and stepped to the door ...

Knock Knock
Who's there !
Fascist !
Fascist who ?
Fascist I can go find another doctor !

That's hilarious, isn't it?

I'm sure your doctor would thank God upon hearing that.

Heres another joke for you!
After 17 years of providing comprehensive health care for the uninsured (that according to some dont need help), the staff at the local clinics have been dropped by our insurance carrier! No that is a real knee slapper!
the best part is they says its because we have under 50% enrollment! (LMAO), BUt just so happens to coincide with one person being diagnosed with breast cancer, another with stomach cancer, and a third with renal failure! (I can hardly breathe, this is all so funny!)

Yeah, but there is no need for reform!
How about it DOc, still waiting to hear if you are willing to see some of the 7500 indigent patients in Clark Floyd and Harrison counties, who dont need health care reform.
HEck, I will even throw in an in kind donation receipt where you can take the amount of donated services off your taxes, which in some cases will be more than the patients make in a year!

for your information, this physician and his office staff routinely sees patients for absolutely no money when patients cannot pay. They have given me samples of medications routinely when i lost my insurance and reduces fees every time. they only charge what theri cost if for labs also

lucky you are not in a european country where changing doctors isn't allowed.

There's the rub, congenitally anonymous.

I'd rather him thank science.

i'd say the current president and you left wing radicals fit the term fascist much more than anything ever posted on this blog.

I've never seen HB get kicked out of a meeting like some others have. The intolerance and hypocrisy of you on the left never ceases to amaze me.

Obama speech was classic for intolerance to anyone objecting to dissent.

Rogers intolerance has been recently displayed and again here today.

And yet, there stands Roger, signing his real name and taking the lumps for losing his cool.

In the other corner: Anonymous, forever and always a coward.

And so it goes here in the least, greatest hope for ... sewer repair?

I am glad the good doctor provides care for the uninsured.
But perhaps that should spur him to realize that there is NO fundamental excuse in a country like ours for there to be a single citizen to NOT have health care coverage.
Until then my invitation stands for him to help out the only stop gap we have, and to volunteer time at a community health center.
Maybe not New Albanys, Jeffersonville, or Corydons, but somewhere, Louisville has a slew of them, Crawford county has nothing, same goes for Washington, Scott, and Orange Counties.

The majority of Americans agree we need reforms. But not this bureaucratic monstrosity of a program that at last count creates 50 something new government agencies? We're being told it won't add one dime to the deficit? And we're told it will be paid for by finding $500 billion in "waste fraud and abuse" in Medicare? Joe Wilson was out of line, but he was not wrong.

Actually I believe Washington and Scott counties both have family health centers that see uninsured patient who are residents of those counties.

I am truly saddened by my friend Roger’s comments. I thought our friendship could transcend our ideological differences.

I strongly believe that Obama’s plan for healthcare reform and the HR 3200 bill is radical and not what is needed to make substantial improvements in the way healthcare changes can be accomplished.

Fridays have been the day for jokes and humor and I will continue to pick on the democrats just I am willing to have others take pot-shots at me and the conservatives.

To Christopher, I already work 70 + hours a week. I take care of my fair share of indigents, Medicaid, Medicare, a mentally retarded group home, and I make rounds on the Floyd county jail inmates twice a week. I am on call 24/7 for the 300 plus inmates without anyone backing me up for this.

I do not have the time to donate more to your particular clinic.

How much time and/or money do you and the others pointing fingers donate to charitable and/or medical clinics outside of what is involved in your payed position?

I'd be willing to compare charitable contributions and other activities with you.

It's a tough one, for sure. I've seldom been this conflicted, but tka e aglance at tha mirror some time, will you? Your incessant and gratuitous venom has transcended decorum on so many occasions that I've lost count.

At some point, it's no longer a mere ideological difference. It's pathological. As I write this, I can hear the hate-filled anonymous jackals baying. You enable them. It's pathetic.

I haven't given up hope. I'm still thinking about it. For now, no checkup for Roger. That's too bad. I've lost 35 pounds again and this time I intend to keep it off.

NAC,
AS A CASUAL OBSERVER FOLLOWING THIS BLOG AND YOURS, VENOM SEEMS TO BE SOMETHING YOU ARE QUITE ACCUSTOMED TO.

HAVE YOU ACTUALLY LOOKED AT YOUR OWN POSTINGS AS WELL AS YOUR TRIBUNE ARTICLES. YOU RARELY HAVE A NICE WORD FOR ANY OF THE LOCAL COUNCILMEN OR OTHER BLOGGERS THAT DISAGREE WITH YOUR VIEWPOINTS.

YOUR LAST POSTING IS LIKE THE POT CALLING THE KETTLE BLACK.

I THINK SERIOUS INTROSPECTION SHOULD BE DONE ON YOUR PART

In 1993 healthcare was on the table. Here we are 2009, nothing's been done. The current leadership is just not good at creating fear. That what seems to movitvate us as a nation. Put a little fear into the message and the lambs will be signing up in droves.

Doc,
I salute you on what you do for the uninsured, and underinsured in this community. That is outstanding!

Please understand I am not questioning your dedication to patient care, I am questioning your stance that no matter what is proposed to change a broken system, you seem to be against it.

As far as comparing charitable contributions, Yours will obviously be greater than mine, as your salary allows for more contributions than mine.

Comparing charitable work outside my "paid position" is a strange request, though, I suppose I could quit working for the non-profit, community health centers, take up a Chief Operations Officer job in the private for profit sector, more than likely double my pay, decrease my hours, and have plenty of time and money to volunteer to previously mentioned clinics.
But I digress, again, I applaud you for your work with inmates, the mentally challenged, and those others that you mentioned.
Thank you for your response.
